The 30 yard dumpster keeps the same 22-foot footprint as our 20 yard box but adds a foot and a half of height, which is where the real jump in capacity comes from. It is the size we send most often for large home renovations, full-structure demolitions on smaller buildings, and the horse-farm and acreage cleanups that are genuinely common ground for us here in Marion County.

We deliver a lot of 30 yard containers out to the horse properties along the county's rural roads — barn cleanouts, old run-in shed teardown, and fence-line clearing produce a volume and mix of debris (wood, wire, old stall bedding, board-and-batten siding) that a 20 yard just is not built to hold. If you are clearing an outbuilding or working an acreage lot, this is usually the right starting point.

Right job, right box

What this size is built for

Ideal projects

  • Large whole-home renovation
  • Barn or outbuilding cleanout
  • Multi-story roof tear-off
  • Fence-line and pasture-edge clearing
  • Small detached structure demolition (shed, old garage)
  • Home addition construction debris
  • Large estate cleanout across multiple structures
  • Acreage building-pad clearing

Pick a different size if…

  • Single-room or small remodel jobs — a 15 or 20 yard costs less and does the job
  • Standard single-story whole-home cleanouts — the 20 yard is usually enough
  • Commercial demolition or large-scale land clearing — see the 40 yard
  • Tight driveways or lots with limited clearance — talk to us before booking this size
  • Jobs needing frequent same-day swaps — a smaller size may suit a fast-moving crew better

Not sure? Call (352) 644-8508 and describe what you are looking at. We would rather sell you a smaller container than have you pay for space you do not use.

Capacity in real terms

How much actually fits

What you're loadingHow it fits in a 30 yard dumpster
A full barn cleanout (old lumber, stall mats, tack-room clutter)The extra height handles bulky, irregular material without constant repacking
Multi-story roof tear-off debrisUses a large share of the weight allowance — worth confirming square footage when you call
A small detached garage or shed, fully demolishedFraming and roofing material from a small structure fits in one container
A full home addition's construction debrisFraming offcuts, drywall and packaging load efficiently with room to spare
A truck-and-trailer's worth of pasture brush and fence railsSeveral loads' worth compact down well given the extra height
A whole-home renovation's mixed debris (flooring, cabinetry, fixtures)Comfortably holds a full gut-remodel's material in one container

Horse-farm and outbuilding cleanouts

Barn cleanouts are a genuinely different job from a residential remodel — you are often dealing with a mix of old lumber, torn-up stall mats, fencing wire, and years of accumulated tack-room clutter, spread across a much larger footprint than a house. The 30 yard's extra height gives you room to load bulky, irregular material like fence posts and rails without constantly repacking to make space.

Acreage and pasture clearing

For pasture-edge brush clearing or clearing a building pad on a larger lot, the 30 yard handles a genuinely large volume of mixed vegetation and debris in one container — useful when you are working land that is bigger than a typical residential yard, which is common on the larger parcels outside Ocala's city core.

Large remodels and demolition debris

For a full-home renovation, an addition, or knocking down a smaller detached structure, the 30 yard carries a 4-5 ton weight allowance — enough for a genuinely large mixed load of framing, drywall, roofing and flooring without constantly checking whether you are near the limit. It is also the size we recommend for multi-story roof tear-offs, where the extra square footage of shingles adds up fast.

30 yard vs. 40 yard — how to decide

The 30 yard covers the large end of residential work — big remodels, single-structure demolitions, and most horse-farm cleanouts. Move up to the 40 yard for commercial jobs, full-structure demolition on a larger building, or a land-clearing project generating a genuinely commercial volume of debris. If you are unsure which side of that line your project falls on, call and describe it — we would rather talk it through than have you pay for space you will not use.

Answers

30 Yard Dumpster — frequently asked questions

Is a 30 yard dumpster the right size for a barn cleanout?

For most single-barn or outbuilding cleanouts, yes. The extra height over our 20 yard gives you room for bulky material like old lumber and fence rails. If you are clearing multiple structures at once, call and describe the scope and we will confirm.

How much weight can a 30 yard dumpster hold?

It carries a 4-5 ton weight allowance, which covers most large remodels, single-structure demolitions and horse-farm cleanouts comfortably. Heavier material like roofing or masonry debris will use that allowance faster than lighter framing or vegetation.

Do I need extra space in my driveway or yard for a 30 yard dumpster?

It is the same 22-foot length as our 20 yard, but a foot and a half taller, so the footprint on the ground does not change much — you just get more usable volume. Our driver will confirm your specific site can accommodate it before delivery.

Can a 30 yard dumpster handle pasture or fence-line clearing debris?

Yes — mixed vegetation, brush, and fencing material are exactly the kind of bulky, irregular load the 30 yard's extra height is built for. Larger acreage-clearing jobs may call for a 40 yard instead; describe the scope and we will confirm.

How long can I keep a 30 yard dumpster for a large renovation?

Seven days is the standard rental period, and we can extend it for larger jobs that run longer — just call and we will work out timing with you rather than surprising you with a rigid cutoff.

Does a 30 yard dumpster cost more than a 20 yard to deliver in Ocala?

We quote every size as a flat rate up front — call for a quote and we will walk through what fits your project and budget rather than quoting blind.
