Dunnellon is its own small incorporated city out at the confluence of the Rainbow and Withlacoochee rivers, west of Ocala, with a historic riverside downtown built around the old train depot and its own city government.

It's our longest regular run, but a straight one — mostly SR-40 the whole way. Dunnellon's downtown streets are narrower and older than Ocala's, so placement close to the historic core sometimes needs a shorter container or a curbside spot rather than a tight driveway. Rainbow Springs State Park sits just north of downtown, and a fair amount of the surrounding land is rural acreage rather than platted subdivision.

On private property — a driveway, a courtyard, a job site — you will not normally need a permit anywhere in Marion County, and that covers the large majority of our Dunnellon deliveries. What matters far more is whether the surface can take the weight and whether the truck can physically get in.

If the container has to sit on a public street or right-of-way in Dunnellon, that usually changes. • Karst and sinkhole-prone soil. Central Florida's limestone geology means some ground around Dunnellon is softer or more subsidence-prone than it looks. It's a normal, non-alarmist part of how we work — our drivers know to avoid obviously soft or subsided ground when placing a container.
• Storm and wind debris. Hurricane-season wind and summer storms leave a similar kind of mess behind — downed limbs, storm-damaged fencing and roofing, general yard debris. Tell us if that is what is filling the container and we will size it accordingly; a size built for household junk can fill up fast with wet limb sections and storm debris.
• Gate codes and access. A handful of newer Dunnellon subdivisions have a gated or code-controlled entrance. If yours does, have a code or a call-ahead arranged so our driver isn't stuck waiting at the entrance on delivery day.
